How can i create a really easy but good Pirate costume form things just at home?

I need a really simple Pirate Costume for a party tonight. I just need ideas. also how should i do my makeup?

Black ripped pants; Or a funky skirt (knee length)
Puffy white shirt? Like fromPirates or the Carribean
Eyepatch; Black material with a bit of string or elastic
oldish looking boots. Perhaps fishnetleggings?

TaDa! Oh and to finish off add a bandana

Meh. I’ve seen a few pirate costumes before.

Do you have a black vest? That would work.
Layer necklaces (like beaded ones with lots of color!)
Hoop earrings.
Boots?

For make-up, I would use heavier black eyeliner (like Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow) around the eyes. Besides that, I don’t think you need much more. ^^

Lauren July 30, 2009 at 8:33 pm: Try finding a flowy white top. It can be a simple white button down. Then find some black pants, preferably skinny or even long leggings would work. Some scarves for around your waist and your head are good too. Gold hoop earrings are a great pirate accessory. Black boots, preferably pointy toed will go great with all of this. If you can’t find boots then maybe go with some cute black flats. As for makeup I don’t think that pirates had any sort of special makeup since they were out at sea and dirty most of the time, LOL. So no time for makeup! But just keep to your regular makeup look and you should be fine.

(-_-) July 30, 2009 at 8:42 pm: You could try being a modern day Somalian pirate if you have cargo pants and a sleeveless shirt laying around (a cardboard AK-47 would be a major plus).

Of course, it’s possible that not everyone will take it in good humor.
